VEGAS BABY!!!! July 11th - July 13th

First things first....we just returned from Vegas. We had a great time hanging out with Family but would have rather hung out with them somewhere other than Vegas. It broke our hearts that the wedding we were going for did not take place. To spare too many details...they were not ready. It was a bitter sweet decision that was made (glad they did it now rather than years down the road). We just pray they figure out what they need to do in the future for their relationship.

I've always wanted to go to Vegas. I have always heard how fun and exciting the strip is and was told I should go if I ever get the chance. It was "okay" but to be completely honest we did not care too much for it. It may have been better had we planned some shows and site seeing...maybe we would have enjoyed it more. However planning anything like that was out of the question because even though the wedding was officially off everyone still wanted to hang out. Although we did not get to take in any shows or sites we hung out one day at the Mandalay Bay hotel's pool/beach. It was amazing....it was like a real beach and water park all in one. That evening we hung out at the Bellagio with everyone that had planned to attend the wedding. It was awesome in itself just to be there...the same site as filmed in Ocean's 11. It was also fun just hanging out with everyone...it was a nice little get together in a room a lot bigger than our own apartment.

Sin City it was! Everywhere we turned there were street venders passing out cards with a naked women on them....never taking one ourselves we only assumed it was for a "good time" with one of these naked women. There were lots of drunk people falling all over the place. The gambling was pretty fun...but seeing as how we do not gamble the slots were all we played. WeTook $20 each to spend....Tim lost all $20 and I ended up making $5. It was fun though....had a good time playing the slots.

Even though it was not our cup of tea....we enjoyed seeing our family and hanging out with each other.

We will probably never go back unless something GOOD came up that we couldn't live without going to see. However, I think we can see shows and other sites here in Houston or other vacation spots to come.
